Subsea sampling

Sampling below the sea is an awesome way for us to find out more about what goes on down there! Scientists use special tools to collect samples of things like water, rock, and animals from the ocean. This gives them a clearer picture of life in the oceans, and its inhabitants. So come discover this wonderful world with me!

To avoid this, scientists collect samples from underwater sensors using a device known as a "corer. This tool is like a giant straw that can suck up bits of sand and mud from the ocean floor. By analyzing these samples, scientists can learn about the ocean's past and unearth new species of deep sea dwelling animals.

Exploring underwater ecosystems through subsea sampling

Alternatively, a tool known as a grabber, is used for subsea sampling. " This tool is similar to a big claw that can grab rocks and other items from the ocean floor. Analyses of these samples can teach scientists about the ocean’s geology — including how different places are connected below the sea.

The coolest aspect of Seaward underwater pressure sensor is that it provides scientists with insight into these hidden submerged ecosystems. Taking samples of different types of water, plants and animals from various ocean locations helps scientists understand how those ecosystems function and how they are impacted by surrounding pollutants and climate change.
